Hi, I am suffering from a strange anxiety disorder. Before two months, I was bitten by our neighbor's dog. I have undergone medication for this. The doctor told me to watch the dog for 10 days. The dog is still alive and it hasn't any problem. I went to the doctor again. The doctor told me that the rabies symptoms appear in three to eight weeks. So, nothing to worry about this. But my condition is quite strange. I am still concerned about rabies. I am in doubt whether will this affect me in future. Sometimes, this thought really scares me. A kind of fear is leading me. I can't accept the words of my doctor. Nowadays, this is affecting my sleep too. I told this to one of my friends. She told me that this is only due to your anxiety and told me to consult an anxiety disorder therapist in Toronto. I am planning to consult that clinic. If this situation continues, this will affect my mental health too. But before undergoing the treatment, I would like to know more about the treatment. Is this anxiety medication has any side effects? I heard that these medicines will affect brain functions. Do I need to concern over this? Please help me with your replies.
