I am an alcoholic. I grew up in Toronto along with my brothers. Our house was on the bank of a river. I always wanted to hang out with my brothers, as there were only a few kids of my own age in that area.
I always felt isolated and lonely. I had this strong urge to be accepted by everybody. So, I started using alcohol to forget all my tension and worries. Later, it became a sort of addiction.
Now, I am unsure about how to come out of the addiction. I have a girlfriend and she asked me to have an alcohol treatment from Vancouver. I want to come out of this addiction somehow or the other.
Is there anybody over here who has undergone a treatment for addiction? How was your experience? Please share.
